If prompted to Locate the Waves plugins folder, direct to C:Program Files (x86)WavesPlug-Ins V13 (or whichever version is installed on your device). It will run in 64 bit mode again and you will see when you click on "Inserts" that it created an extra option at the very bottom for "AU Units (32 bit)" and you can find all the plug-ins in there. UNCHECK the checkbox to "run in 32-bit mode". It will run in 32bit mode and suddenly finds all the plug ins. There's a checkbox to "run in 32-bit mode". Or even 32 bit VST's and other software instruments.

I would go for 9 or 10 if these are the only two plugins from us youre trying to install and authorize on that machine. Im not sure about the reason why this happens but it seems that when you run logic in 64bit mode, most of your plugins like waves, lexicon reverb, spectrasonics stylus and omnisphere are 32 bit plugins, and Logic doesn't recognise them. While youre on Windows 7 you will need to install one of the legacy versions of the plugins. The VST 3 SDK comes with a helper class which wraps one VST 3 audio.
